As I recall, ClamAV only cut off access to old clients that connected 
too frequently.  (Lots of people doing DNS lookups every 5 minutes isn't 
much, but an hourly crush of unnecessary HTTP GETs was bogging down 
their servers.)  I could be misremembering, though.
