You are running a really old version.  I guess you are getting confused 
with the .8 vs a .31.  I get that all the time as well but in this case, 
the minor version number is a regular incremental integer.  I would 
strongly suggest that you upgrade (definitely with care in your case due 
to the large version difference) and you will probably see many issues 
go away.
