Check out RFC-1521 and the definition of "token" and "tspecials".
If any of:

		( ) < > @ , ; : \ " / [ ] ? =

appear in a token, the token must be quoted.

> Does the MIME:Tools author plan to include your patch ?

I doubt it, because it is technically incorrect, although practically very
useful.
