I highly doubt that.  RHEL5.x/CentOS5.x have 5.8, albeit with some 
backported patches.  And they'll be running into 2014.

Actually it is hard to support fast-changing systems, hence the 
'enterprise' linux distributions that try to make sure things aren't 
bleeding-edge.
