Thanks for the response :-) I will post the output of a strace on a busy slave when the issue occurs again. Unfortunately, I doubt I will be able to post our mimedefang fliter, but I will run it by my boss. Ironically, it is the AIX server that doesn't have the issue, it is only the Red Hat servers -- William Parr
