[Mimedefang] ADMIN: Aggressive spam filters

Hello,

This message is for the archives, since most people who were affected
by recent events on the list won't see it... :-)

Several people have been unsubscribed from MIMEDefang because their
spam filters have rejected a bunch of messages.  It seems that many
spam filters get upset if the domain "example dot com" appears in
a message.

*sigh*

All traffic to the MIMEDefang list is spam-filtered by our CanIt
software.  In addition, only subscribers are allowed to post to the
list.  Finally, any message containing a text/html part is rejected.
So the odds of a spam getting on to this list are quite small.

Please, if mail from "mimedefang-bounces at lists.roaringpenguin.com"
passes the SPF check, let it through... it's probably not a spam.
