[Mimedefang] HUGE problem with mimedefang

Hi,

I've been using Mimedefang together with Spamassassin for some time now with
no real problems. But last night, shortly after midnight mimedefang had a
big problem which prevented e-mail from working until I got into the office
shortly before 9 AM, discovered the problem and fixed it. I fixed it by
stopping the Sendmail daemon in /etc/init.d (I got the error that there was
no PID for Mimedefang) then restarting Sendmail (Sendmail and Mimedefang
started successfully and e-mail began working properly). Since I work at an
ISP, I've had customers complaining all morning.

In my maillog I see errors such as these:

Apr 21 00:52:15 Raydeus-Dee sendmail[23854]: j3L4jOGx023854: Milter
(mimedefang): init failed to open

When I got Mimedefang going again, I see this in the log (don't know if this
is normal or abnormal):

Apr 21 08:54:59 Raydeus-Dee mimedefang[12946]: Multiplexor alive - entering

Does anyone have ANY idea what might have caused this to happen?

Thanks,

Lisa Casey
