Can you further comment on this? I have been running Mimedefang for a
couple of months now and we do not use a tmpfs for /var/spool/MIMEDefang.
Recently we have seen errors from Mimedefang "Too many open files"...

OK. First of all, on Solaris, it is mandatory to put /var/spool/MIMEDefang
on a tmpfs file system; otherwise, your machine will buckle under the load.
I would try it as-is; it should be powerful enough. Limit your max slaves
to around 9 or 10 to avoid swapping too much. If the machine seems slow
and often runs out of slaves, add another 256MB.
