[Mimedefang] Trendmicro virusscanner problems..

Rajesh,

Could you post your milter definitions from your site.mc which u used to
compile your sendmail.cf ?

I tried using the mimedefang filter in conjuction with viruswall but it
doesn't scan properly: virusses pass through the filter and live happily
ever after..

We use the TrendMicro InterScan VirusWall, which is a daemon.  Is that what
you are asking about?  If so, we run it succesfully, in a TrendMicro
recommended sendmail sandwich configuration.  This is much faster/more
efficient that running the command-line scanner for each message.  If this
is a mail-relay, I would strongly recommend using some kind of in-memory
scanner like Sophie or the VirusWall.

We use MD to drop all dangerous attachments before we pass the message to
the VirusWall i.e. drop before scan.  It works great - 1 virus since
September 2002!

Is there someone succesfully using mimedefang with the Trend virusscanner
who can share with me how he/she accomplished this?
