[Mimedefang] Why does my mimedefang temp fail?

I have just installed mimedefang-2.30 and spamassassin-2.44 on my
test/secondary email server. My server is RH 7.2 with sendmail 8.12.5. I am
using the sample mimedefang-filter. Shortly after I start mimedefang, I
start getting the following messages in my maillog:

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
