Subject: [Mimedefang] Multi-server bayes

I apoligize if this one's been discussed but I searched and couldn't
find much. Has anyone done any synching between servers for bayes
databases? I have three sendmail boxes with different MX prefs, all
running MD/SA for about a year now and I have bayes setup on one for
about 2 months now working well. I want to get this data to the other
two.
[..snip..]
I started our second two servers a month or so after the first as well.
I did a one-time copy as a "seed" for the second two. From that point
on, each has operated independently without many apparent differences
between the three. The second two may not learn at the same rate as the
first but they also don't process as much mail as the first. As I
examine what gets through, the server each message comes from is roughly
proportional to the MX pref of that server (most from our primary, some
form our secondary, and the fewest from the triary). My final
conclusion is that what gets through is by design of the spammers (the
good ones test against many anti-spam apps before releasing) and not
because I don't sync databases between servers.

I prefer to keep it simple,
Randy
