[Mimedefang] Mimedefang on high volume sites

Could you post some information about your mail configurations using
mimedefang, if you handle more then 50,000 emails per day?

I was talking to the networking guru for our campus, they currently handle
65,000 mail messages per day on 3 incoming mail servers. I would like them
to switch to using mimedefang( we all know how great mimedefang is), so
they can run a virus scanner on their incoming mail.

My mimedefang installation only handles 500-1500 mail messages a day.

I would like to have some existing examples to use when I talk to him;
about the volume of mail mimedefang is capable of handling.

So if you run mimedefang with the following conditions:
50,000 < mail messages per day.
Virus scanning, spamassassin.
Please post some information about your message load, hardware, etc.

How much time does it take to process each message on average?
What sort of configuration settings have you configured specific to
mimedefang for high performance?
Which free virus scanners would you reccomend?
filescan,
clamscan...?
