Avoiding these forgery situations may be possible if MXOUT or similar
data is available somehow; that way, a site could advertise what systems
mail will originate from for a domain, and accepting sites could do a
lookup to see whether the mail orignates from a MXOUT.  That way,
yahoo.com mail could only come from servers Yahoo designates, and mail
administrators would have the option to reject yahoo mail not from one
of those systems, or maybe run the message by yahoo somehow.

Just a thought, may not be feasible...
