Is anyone else able to reliably duplicate this?  I run MDefang on
lists.roaringpenguin.com and have not seen a single broken pipe message.

On a client's box, I only see these messages if there is an SMTP timeout
with a peer.  For example:

Feb  4 13:10:48 mail sendmail[29258]: g14HAmc29258: timeout waiting
	for input from [xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa] during server cmd read
Feb  4 13:10:48 mail sendmail[29258]: g14HAmc29258: milter_write(mimedefang):
	write(Q) returned -1, expected 5: Broken pipe
Feb  4 13:10:48 mail sendmail[29258]: NOQUEUE: [xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa] did not
	issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA

On another client's box, I do not see any broken pipe messages at all.

The test machines run various versions of Linux.  Some are 6.2; some
are 7.2.  Some are Sendmail 8.11; some are Sendmail 8.12.
