I get 'panic: top_env'. I'm using 64bit RedHat RHEL5.

# /usr/bin/perl -v

This is perl, v5.8.8 built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi

I think others have seen this problem. I was lazy and just reverted to 
using non-embedded perl.
