[Mimedefang] Storing "per SMTP session" data (?)

What is the recommended way of storing "per SMTP session" data in
MIMEdefang filtering script?
e.g. to make one "RCPT TO:" check pass data to next "RCPT TO:" check
a) in the same transaction (per message) 
b) in the same SMTP session (per SMTP session)
