Nope.  MIMEDefang just passes the whole message to SpamAssassin without
interpreting it in any way.

Are you sure MIMEDefang is configured to use network tests?  You might
need to look at /etc/mail/sa-mimedefang.cf and make sure network tests
are enabled.
