Well, that trick is a standard idiom.  However, my colleague Dave O'Neill
is (when he has time) ripping apart MIMEDefang into modules, some of which
will be useful standalone modules for CPAN.  I'm not sure about his plans
for the relay_is_blacklisted_multi function, though.
