Well, it's up to you to clean it up. :-)   MIMEDefang does not define
filter_cleanup; the filter author does.

According to the mimedefang-filter man page:

  "The  return  value  from  filter_cleanup becomes the slave's exit status."

So it's up to you to ensure that the filter_cleanup function you write
returns a numeric value.
