The last place I worked I used MD in front of Exchange, and this does
work (and is required to get md_check_against_smtp_server to return the
real list of valid Exchange mailboxes).
ISTR some issue that required setting something at the AD forest level,
though, to make it work correctly on all servers. For one-domain
forests or standalone Exchange, it should work fine as written.
