In the reply below I'm assuming you are talking about the bayes 
implementation in SpamAssassin. if you are using another bayes 
engine, please disregard this post.

In that case, just make sure you have autolearn enabled in 
SpamAssassin.

Training the bayes system based on score without human 
intervention is what the autolearn feature does.

Bayes needs to be trained with a certain number of spam and ham 
messages before being used for scoring mails. It does not care 
wether those messages are trained manually or by autolearn.

Check the contents of the bayes database. If the counters for 
scanned ham/spam increases, something is training the bayes system.
