[Mimedefang] Mimedefang and clamav

Hi,

I am in the process of installing mimedefang + spamassassin on a FreeBSD 
server runnibg sendmail. I would also like to use clamav. I read today that 
if clamav is already installed that mimedefang will automatically detect it 
and use it. Is that correct? Or do I need to do something with my mimedefang 
filter to enable it's use of clamav?  In order to use clamav with mimedefang 
should I install clamav as a milter? Seems unnecessary to me since 
mimedefang is a milter, but then I really don't know.
