I have that turned on anyway - this is a different issue.

This pertains to the originating server sending a RCPT TO: and not waiting
for the REPLY (I'm looking in the RFC for how replies are supposed to be handled..
SHOULD or MUST the originating server wait for them? ) and sending DATA anyway (which 
sits in a buffer somewhere) and then the server hangs up.
