Although, I don't know why you would depend your answer on the 
capabilities of their infrastruktur.
The original post included the phrase "Windows server". In addition with 
the backoffice and OLE/.Net you can manipulate any Office document in any 
way you like (well in theory, I don't do that myself ;-) ).
