Out of curiosity, why would this be the case with FreeBSD and
putting /var/spool/MIMEDefang on a tempfs ("ram disk"). Does this apply
to all versions of FreeBSD (including 6.x?)

I apologize if most of the context of this message was lost but the
mailing list bot gets offended if more than 75% of the message is quoted
