The problem with greylisting at RCPT time is that
the conversation goes like this:

Man: Will you marry me?
Woman: Ask again later.

Man: Will you marry me?
Woman: Ask again later.

Man: I'm not waiting, let's consummate!
Woman: *Shoots man*

Or, in actual SMTP terms:

C: RCPT TO:<x>
S: 451 Try again later
C: RCPT TO:<y>
S: 451 Try again later
C: DATA   # What the heck, let's try DATA even though all RCPTS failed
S: 500 Silly client... Can't use DATA unless at least one RCPT succeeded.
C: Waah!!! *Generates bounce message*
