[Mimedefang] Charset GB2312 Errors

I'm getting some chinese/japanese mail through, and am seeing these lines below in the log

mimedefang-multiplexor[29260]: Slave 2 stderr: ignoring text in character set `GB2312'  at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/MIME/Parser/Filer.pm line 646

Are they critical ? (seems not as the mail processess okay without any problems and all rules in the filter are applied)

If not, what's the easiest way to work round them (not used to running a multilingual server !)
