[Mimedefang] mimedefang error mimedefang.sock unsafe??

I am trying to run the latest version of mimedefang and I started
getting this error :

I have rebuilt it twice ... and get the same error. 

Seems like a rights issue with the /var/spool/MIMEDefang/ location but
here are the rights : 

[root at ns1 spool]# ls -all MIMEDefang/
total 36

Mimedefang sock will not create itself it tries and then gets this error
I can see it in the dir and then it goes away with the above error :
mimedefang sock unsafe. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.
