     In his opinion, it isn't a bug.  It would have to do with
seperation of functionality.  qmail is a whole bunch of little programs
that do a single simple task, as opposed to one monolithic program like
sendmail.  On this track, the SMTP receiver is just that, a program
that speaks SMTP, receives a message, and dumps in a queue directory
for another program to process.  It doesn't do any processing itself.

     djb has a pretty big ego and really doesn't care what others think
of him.

     Given what I know about qmail, I have no particular interest in
