Putting everything in LDAP and replicating to where the outside
relay can access it is probably the right approach here. I've
just been putting this off hoping that there would eventually
be a standard schema that included PosixAccount, SambaAccount,
and email aliasing/delivery information and someone would package
it and a management tool for RPM based systems. Since that
doesn't seem to be happening, is there a standard for the
email side of things yet? It would be more efficient if my
outside relay could access the alias info for final delivery
locations as well as being able to reject bad addresses immediately.

On the other hand, I have more people who want to access their
email from the internet and it might be more secure to just
move the accounts to the outside server than to have them use
VPN access. Is the traditional outside-relay, inside-server(s)
model still popular?
