[Mimedefang] mimedefang-filter?

Hello ALL:

Thanks for this list; I new to mimedefang. Please help with these questions/problems:
1) will the distributed example mimedefang-filter work in a production - Debian/Linux?

   * where are the action functions located?
   * where is message_rejected()  (see: sub filter($$$$))
   * where is $SuspiciousCharsInHeaders (see:sub filter_begin())
   * where is message_contains_virus() (see:sub filter_begin)
   * etc

2) Could someone make some production filters avialable?
3) please give some direction to get started
