Just to add some of my personal experiences with this.  It works great!
 However, I've found that modifying the SA score up from the default 3
to 4 helps greatly because almost no borderline spam hits these rules.

With a well trained SA and a bit of judicious whitelisting I keep my
spamscore set at 4.
