Just to briefly add, because I tripped over this once, make sure the 
above line goes *before* the following lines (unless they're 
commented out, in which case it doesn't matter):

> if ($Features{"SpamAssassin"}) {
>     spam_assassin_init()->compile_now(1) if 
defined(spam_assassin_init());
