I use a sitewide bayes and have processed 600K messages.
It is better then nothing.
I use these rules:
surbl,razor,dcc,pyzor.
for cf rules I use:
antidrug.cf
backhair.cf
chickenpox.cf
small_font.cf
virus_gen.cf

You could run the bayes off a central mysql database.
That would work best for you with 6 mail servers, I think.
