Actually, some users on the MD list say that.  I do not recommend
File::Scan; it has too many false-positives.

Clam is the best; I heartily recommend it.

I don't recommend this one.  It's written in Java (yuck!!)

You need either Sys::Syslog or Unix::Syslog.  If the configure script
succeeds, MIMEDefang should build fine.  If there's something missing
that you absolutely need, the configure script will fail.
