    As an orthodox Jew - I don't find the term offensive. I don't eat 
spam - so I don't want
    SPAM. Using YAM for HAM (i.e mail you want) has the added benefit of 
being a
    great acronym  - You 'ave Mail
                               Yes! Actual Mail!
                               Yet another mail message.
                              

          So yes I vote for YAM.
