Ah, I forgot the magic incantation... Sorry, I keep forgetting this is a bit
obscure:
rescue# ifconfig eth0 <blah blah blah>
rescue# cd /blankdisk
rescue# ftp backupserver
(login)
ftp> get backup.tar.gz "|tar xzpf -"
Yup, you can specify a pipe as the LOCAL file name when getting or putting a
file.
