[Mimedefang] mimedefang Error talking to slave process

Mimedefang was running on a FreeBSD 4.10 server for about a month, at which 
time sendmail was unable to send or receive mail.  If mimedefang was 
disabled by removing it from sendmail.mc, we were able to send and receive 
mail again.  We have the following versions installed:

mimedefang 2.43_2
clamav-0.74
SpamAssassin 2.63_2
Sendmail 8.12.11
