[Mimedefang] mimedefang woes

I just set up mimedefang/spamassassin/clamav on a redhat linux box and I
am seeing these errors:

Some times I see this:

So why are these processes dying? How do I improve logging so I can see
what is going on? I know this isn't a memory issue because this box has a
1GB of ram and isn't being used for much.

P.S. I sent this a bit ago but I saw a message saying essentially tempfail
for the first time sending. try again in two minutes. So I am sending
again.
