I didn't want to get into this on the list because I thought it was an
affront to CanIT, however, I concur that modifying these packages and
keeping the changes proprietary and then installing them on clients machines
would count as distribution and would definitely be a violation of the GPL
and Perl Artistic licenses to the best of my knowledge.  I believe the term
is very specific as in-house use.

And I like making money as much as the next guy but competing head to head
with a company like Roaring Penguin seems like biting the hand that feeds.
