I will be adding memory soon, but in the meanwhile, when I try adding the -E
to the start script, I get this when starting up:

WARNING: Xmimedefang: local socket name
/var/spool/MIMEDefang/mimedefang.sock missing

Am I doing it wrong?

Thanks.

Use the embedded Perl interpreter (-E option to the multiplexor), and get
more memory. I recommend at least 512MB, preferably 1GB, on a busy
mail server. Then you can safely bump your MX_MAXIMUM up to 50 or 100.
