Because thanks to Micro$oft, these kinds of things happen:

	iambad.exe                (unambiguous)
	amibad.exe.               (bad?  On some versions of Windows, yes.)
	amibad.exe.........       (bad?  See above...)
	amibad.exe{ff-dd-45-f}    (bad?  Depends on numbers in curlies)
