[Mimedefang] OT: Sendmail rewrite from address

Hi, 
I have the opposite problem with rewriting from address. I have 
incoming mail relay, all emails will be sent to exchange server.
the problem is if the header from address is an unqualified name
(names without @hostname) , the sendmail will add the hostname of
the incoming mail relay to this name. this behaviour can confuse
the recipient because if the mail is a spam, the recipient will thing 
that the spam come from mail relay. someone know how to disable this 
"header from" rewriting? 
I did try to use MASQUERADE_AS(`')dnl in sendmail.mc but it doesn't help,
the sendmail will still add the @relayhostname to the unqualified 
email address.
