Wouldn't just put the mlists names in the sendmail /etc/mail/acces list
be easier ?

like:

To:list1 at domain1        ERROR:550 Mailbox disabled for this recipient
To:list2 at domain2        REJECT

Or did I miss a point ? I guess I'm exhausted at this time :)
