I've been to 2 LISA conferences before and they are amazing to catch up on
the best practices in System and Network administration. You get a ton of
free stuff in the Exhibits and the books you bring back from the classes
are pretty good too. It's really cool to learn sendmail stuff from Eric
Allman, and SA stuff from the authors of the purple book...etc.

That being said, it's a pretty dang expensive conference for an
individual to pay for...especially in a bad economy.
