begining to sound that your sendmail is not compiled with milter support ?
Did you compile it yourself ? Sendmail 8.12.9 ?

Dear Mitch,

Hm, I might have gotten this wrong, but I thought m4 was more like an
'interpreter' for sendmail, making sendmails HORRIBLE configfiles easier to
handle?

I went through this document step by step to install MIMEdefang:
http://www.peregrinehw.com/downloads/MIMEDefang/INSTALL

MIMEdefang is up and running:
multiplexor has 12 instances running (as min and max are 12 in the cfg)
mimedefang has a parent with two childs under itself.

Spool and Quarantine is just as it should be.

MIMEdefang start initiated 3 mins before sendmail (so that all 12 childs can
run).

Sendmail is started, no unusual messages there.

The email is *not* being tagged, either by mimedefang nor anomy sanitizer
which I'm also using. The config file for sendmail is /etc/sendmail.cf,
which is linked up to /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

I have installed the sample filter, yes...

I don't have a clue what's wrong, but I'm starting to feel that it's *not*
mimedefang, but sendmail that's having problems here. What do you think?

  Best regards,
  Haakon Nilsen
