The caveat is that RH AS uses an older version of Sendmail, I believe.
I assume people buy AS for the extended support, and I'm not sure if RH
will offer support (at least as far as Sendmail issues go) if you
install your own version of Sendmail.

So:  It will probably work just fine on AS, but check with Red Hat for
support implications.
