[Mimedefang] attachment size restrictions?

Does mimemdefang have any limitations regarding message size? Someone is attempting to send a 7.5M message with an attachment and /var/log/mailog shows:

ying (3/3): Connection refused
Nov 11 15:41:27 revere spamc[9970]: connection attempt to spamd aborted after 3
retries
