I have recently upgraded to Mimedefang 2.60 due to a similar problem I
am still having now after the upgrade. I am running perl 5.6.1 on
redhat 7.3 with 2.4.18-27.7 kernel. I have built sendmail 8.12.10 and
upgraded and installed SpamAssassin-2.60 and clamav-0.60. Everything
runs with the exception of mimedefang. I used the mimedefang HOW-TO
that was posted on the mimedefang site (it was VERY VERY helpful) and
installed all the perl mods listed in the manual.

I am using the standard /etc/mail/mimedefang-filter. I start up
mimedefang with the default init script and I receive the following
errors over and over.......:

Nov 10 11:43:30 smtp1 mimedefang-multiplexor: Starting slave 0 (pid
22376) (1 running): Bringing slaves up to minSlaves (2)

Nov 10 11:43:30 smtp1 mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 stderr: Use of
uninitialized value in split at /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/Cwd.pm line 103.

Nov 10 11:43:31 smtp1 mimedefang-multiplexor: Reap: Idle slave 0 (pid
22376) exited due to signal 25 (SLAVE DIED UNEXPECTEDLY)

Nov 10 11:43:31 smtp1 mimedefang-multiplexor: Slave 0 resource usage:
req=0, scans=0, user=0.867, sys=0.060, nswap=0, majflt=683, minflt=5213,
maxrss=0, bi=0, bo=0

PS: we used to get the "uninitialized value in split at
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/Cwd.pm line 103" on the version prior also and it
used to work.

Please Help

Thanks

Darin
