[Mimedefang] slightly OT: clamd.sock error

Hi all,

I'm getting 999 error from
message_contains_virus_clamd() and the following in
the logs:

Could not connect to clamd daemon at
/var/spool/MIMEDefang/clamd.sock

This is intermittent and only happens on a redhat 8.0
box (I have mimedefang on a redhat 7.2 box with clamd
and have no problems).

Any ideas why clamd.sock is disappearing? 

Do certain attachments break clamd and cause it remove
it's own unix socket?
